I grew up on the East Coast of Florida. Pro surfer, Kelly Slater surfed around the pier I grew up visiting. And, even though I can’t surf, I could watch surfers in the ocean all day long. So, this Summer Surf Party is one of my favorite party themes.
Surf’s Up
My godfather, cousins, and a lot of childhood friends surf, so surfing has a special place in my heart. That’s why I have a lot of surf party inspiration and freebies on the blog. But, I really love this gnarly surf bus coloring sheet I shared in the Totally Free Summer Coloring Pages post.
And, this Surf’s Up Pool Party is another favorite! It’s full of budget friendly, easy surf party inspiration and DIY ideas.
Summer Surf Party
I was able to use The Traveling Tap’s Ice Cream Trike for about a week earlier this Summer. I took the opportunity to style all.of.the.parties!
When I thought about this party, I had visions of an ice cream trike on a boardwalk along the East coast. But, alas, I am on the West coast of Florida, and I didn’t have a way to transport the trike safely, so I style the Summer Surf Party in the backyard near my pool.
First, I popped up the darling pink and white umbrella on the trike. Then, I propped an old surf board next to the trike. Next, I added a beach lantern, some beach towels, sunscreen, and adorable decor from Nook and Cranny DIY to the table.
Finally, it was time to add the treats! Of course you can’t have a Summer party without popsicles and drinks in coconut cups. So, I had to add those too!
