Neutral Fall Tablescape

 Neutral Fall Tablescape

neutral fall tablescape

Toni from Design Dazzle is sharing this BEAUTIFUL Neutral Fall Tablescape with a gorgeous floral centerpiece DIY.  I adore Toni, she is as sweet as she is talented, and I am just so thrilled to be sharing a few blog posts from her this month!

Do you love the season autumn? I certainly do. Living in Utah with the changes of scenery, vibrant colors and four seasons is quite stunning at times. Just looking outside my door, the beauty is amazing. Our Michaels Makers September challenge was to create a fall project focusing on decor and entertaining at home in preparation for Autumn. I decided to create and share a neutral fall tablescape. One thing I knew for sure is I did NOT want any orange in the tablescape. I do love the color orange. But since I have lots of it in my home for Halloween, I needed more neutrals! I choose creams, rusts, browns, soft olive green, and golds (for a bit of glam)! It’s nice to sit at a dining room table that has been decorated for the season and is calm, relaxing and pretty!

supplies to make a fall centerpiece

Supplies to make a neutral fall tablescape:

gold mercury candle stick

half round of foam

10 stems/flowers that you love!

4-5 fall pumpkins/gourds/acorns (approx 4-5 inches in size)

glue gun and floral cutters or wire cutters

step 1

Step 1:

Hot glue the foam onto the top of the candlestick.

Choose the tallest stems and place deeply into the foam. The tallest went in the back center and the other two stems were placed at about 11 and 1 o’clock position on a clock.

step 2

Step 2:

Start adding in other flowers. Use floral cutters to shorten the length of the stem. Save some of the leftover stems for the next step.

step 3

Step 3:

I took a couple of gold pumpkins, a cream pumpkin and an acorn that were not on stems and poked a stem i(saved from the cuttings) nto the side or bottom. This way you can add these decorations to your floral piece (as shown above).

Step: 4

Add moss, ribbon or other small flowers (that are leftover) to the base of the foam. These will cover any green foam that is showing.

Here is the look I designed with dishes I already had and the soup tureen that I purchased years ago.

The birdcage was purchased at Michaels in the Christmas section. Isn’t it great that I can use it for Fall and Christmas?

come thou fount of every blessing free printable tag

One of my favorites hymns is “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”. This Christian hymn was written in the 18th century by a 22 year old! I thought it would be a nice touch to add it to our fall table as a reminder of our blessings. This is a free printable!!!
