Laser Tag Birthday Party
Laser Tag Birthday Party. My youngest son recently celebrated his last elementary school birthday…and he wanted to {finally} have a party that wasn’t at home. He was, in fact, adamant about having his party at a local Laser Tag/Game Room/Go Kart place. I cringed…I knew it would be nearly impossible to make it look like I wanted…but, he is the last kid, and he caught me when I was feeling a little more nostalgic. I booked the party just 10 days ahead of time, and go to work.

After I booked the party, I texted Pineapple Paper Co., and begged her to make something fabulous. Of course she did, and I printed the invitations at my local copy center. I had them print the party circles for the party too. There is quite a bit of black ink for these printables, and I figured it would look better if they were printed on a professional machine. Once I had the invitations printed, I got to work on the rest of the party.
I reached out to my favorite local cake pop girl, and she nailed it! Next, I started working on party favors, and other party supplies.
I ordered glow sticks, laser lollipops, and finger lights from Amazon. I bought some mini dart gun toys and small metal buckets from a local store. I added a party circle to the buckets and filled them with the goodies I bought.
I wanted the dessert table to be simple, but have a big impact! I ordered a black table cloth from Amazon and had a 3’x2′ sign printed for the backdrop. The birthday boy wanted a cookie cake, cake pops, and Rice Krispie Treats, and LOTS of candy on the dessert table. I made a double layer cookie cake and drizzled candy melts over it to resemble laser lights. I did the same thing with store bought Rice Krispie Treats and pretzel rods. I used more buckets to hold extra finger lights, and lots of candy.
The party location had a large table set up for the guests to enjoy pizza and soda, so I quickly set the table with disposable plates and napkins to match the party. I set each guest’s favor bucket on top of the plates and napkins, and then added more candy, glow sticks, and even a pucker powder candy dispenser on the table.
The kids had.so.much.fun! I was thrilled to give in and let him have his party away from home this year.
