Mother’s Day Lunch with Clay Chick Ceramics
Mother’s Day Lunch with Clay Chick Ceramics. Mother’s Day is going to be here in the blink of an eye…and I am NEVER ready! But, this year, I am! I like to host a small brunch or lunch for my mom and sister before Mother’s Day, and then I spend Mother’s Day with my wild crew doing the things I love to do…sometimes we just hang out around the pool, other times, we brave the crowds at Disney. This year, I have partnered with my good friends at Clay Chick Ceramics for Mother’s Day gifts and I am SO excited to share them with all of the important moms in my life! I ordered several silhouette oval ornaments, customized for each mom! Since my sister’s mother in law just moved to our area, I included her and my own mother in law in our celebration. Each ornament was custom made with silhouettes to represent each child for the family. So, my mom got one with 6 silhouettes on it, my mother in law and my sister’s mother in law each got one with 4 silhouettes on them, and my sister got one with two. I was able to add custom text under the silhouettes on each ornament. I chose to use our last name for my mother in law, but I had Mimi put on my mom’s. They are so darn cute! I also ordered a darling black rectangle frame {for myself} and put a pic of all of the kids in it and placed it on the table.
I am all about simple right now, but just because it is simple doesn’t mean it has to be ugly! I went out the day I set up our party and gathered everything I would need!
I decided I wanted to use a pretty floral table cloth as the base, and HomeGoods was my first stop! I got the table cloth, chargers, glasses, cups, and candles from HomeGoods. I picked up some of the pretty new jadeite jars, napkins, and candy dish from Target, along with a delicious cake. A quick trip into WholeFoods was all I needed to get the rest of the treats for our celebration.
Once I got home, I cleared our table and draped the table cloth over it. I placed the chargers on the table, and layered them with simple white serving dishes, folded napkins, a simple Lindt truffle, and the custom silhouette oval ornaments. They were the perfect place setting and gift! Each place setting had two glasses, one for water and the other for wine or mimosas.
The center of the table was decorated with beautiful flowers, more candies, candles, the cake, and the black rectangle picture frame. Macarons were served on my rectangle serving board from my fall party. I cannot tell you how many times I have used those trays! {My Pocket vase is full of dried lavender right now, and I am so in love with it!}
