It has been so unseasonably warm this Winter (except this week, the weather is weird), but my kids love hot chocolate, and were asking for it the entire time they were on Christmas break. But, when the temps are pushing 90*, it’s hard to make traditional hot chocolate. So, I made a batch of creamy crock pot hot chocolate, the one that is all over the internet, with heavy cream, milk, condensed sweetened milk, and chocolate chips…it’s so creamy and delicious! Then, I bottled it up, and popped it in the fridge. I couldn’t leave it at just that though, so I pulled out the awesome Oster Fresh + Blend ‘N Go mixer and made a FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE!!
Y’all, this is such a yummy treat! My kiddos love it, I love it, and sometimes I love to make it a little more adult friendly by adding a splash of homemade Irish Cream in it before I mix it.
This is so simple to make with the Fresh+Blend ‘N Go! Fill the Ball cup with ice, pour the (now cold) hot chocolate over the ice, add the blending lid, pop it on the blender base and blend! I top it with whipped cream and homemade chocolate syrup or shaved chocolate. Voila, no extra cups to clean, and a fun cup that is ready to go. I have also made a few take along smoothies on busy mornings. My little blender is getting a work out!
