Seahorse Canvas DIY
Seahorse Canvas DIY. Summer is here and we are entertaining or being entertained several nights a week. Hostess gifts can get a little expensive if you are purchasing something for each hostess. I have a perfect summer gift idea. You can make a whole bunch at one time and they are pretty and affordable!
Supplies:
Canvas
Vinyl
2 Colors of Paint
Paint brush(es)
Begin by painting your canvas the color you would like the seahorses to be. I used Modern Masters Metallic Grey.
While the canvas dried, I cut out the vinyl seahorses. To do this, make a Sizzix Sandwich; Sizzix Accessory Cutting Pad, Sizzix Bigz Die – Seahorses, Vinyl, Sizzix Accessory Cutting Pad, and run it through your Big Shot Machine. Once the canvas was completely dry, I stuck my vinyl seahorses where I wanted them to be and made sure they were stuck on very well. (You may need to put one hand behind the canvas for negative resistance)
Next, I painted the canvas the color I wanted the canvas (Modern Masters Pearl) to be, right over the vinyl seahorses.
Finally, once the canvas was dry again, I pulled the vinyl off the canvas. That’s it! Simple, affordable, and adorable!
