Did yo know that July is National Ice Cream Month? It makes sense, since it it the peak of the summer season, and nearly everyone enjoys a frozen ice cream treat! Typically we celebrate Ice Cream Day on vacation with a stop at one of our favorite shops where ever we are vacationing. But, this year is a little different, but we are enjoying a National Ice Cream Month Celebration with friends and family!
Ice Cream Recipes
Our family loves ice cream. I don’t think there is ever a time that you could open our freezer and not find at least two cartons of ice cream. But, we also love to make our own ice cream!
This homemade ice cream recipe is a family favorite and combines two of our favorite treats, ice cream and cookie dough! My boys also really love this homemade strawberry ice cream!
National Ice Cream Month Celebration
Since this year is a little crazier than normal for us, we are skipping our annual vacation. But, we are not skipping celebrating ice cream month!
It also seems like this month is a little more crazy for our friends and family, so getting us all together at the same time was not going to happen.
So, we thought it would be fun to fill small ice cream cone piñatas with fun sprinkles and gift cards for ice cream. Finally, we stuffed the rest of the piñata with tissue paper to keep the sprinkles and gift card secure inside.
This was such an easy treat to make and drop off at our friends’ and families’ houses throughout the month!
