SVG Saturday Week 8 – Candy Hearts
Whoohoo friends, it’s my favorite day of the week, SVG Saturday!! This week I wanted to show a little love to one of my favorite Valentine’s Day Candies, Conversation Hearts! You know the drill, SVG’s added to the shop on Saturday are on sale for just $1 for one week only. The following week, those SVG files will go up to the regular price of $1.99. {Did you see that all the SVG’s are now only $1.99?!}
Candy Hearts
I like candy hearts…so, naturally, I was a little disappointed to hear that the originals would not be available this year. The other brands are good, but I prefer the original. {Truthfully, I really only like the yellow ones} With the disappointment fresh in my mind, I decided this week’s SVG’s would be all about the tiny candy hearts I grew up enjoying. I designed all of the SVG files to go on shirts or bags, but I do really like it on a coffee mug too. Remember, you can change the vinyl and iron on colors to match your personal style too. How cute would any of these sweetheart candy SVG files be on a shirt on your little one on Valentine’s Day? Especially if that little one is carrying a conversation heart tote bag full of Valentine’s Day Candy into their classroom!!

Iron On:
Step 1:
Upload the SVG into Design Space, and size to fit. Then, send the project to the machine to cut. {If you are using Iron On, don’t forget to mirror the cut, and place the Iron On on the cutting mat shiny side down}
Step 2:
Weed the excess Iron On, and pre-heat the EasyPress. See Cricut’s recommended guidelines for time and temperature settings.
Step 3:
If you’re applying the Iron On to fabric or canvas, put the fabric on the EasyPress Mat and press the fabric before applying the Iron On. If you are putting the Iron On on wood, you will not need to pre-heat it. Now, place the Iron On on your surface and cover it with the protective sheet. Use the EasyPress according to Cricut’s recommended guidelines. Reverse the fabric or canvas and press the backside of the design for 15-30 seconds.
Vinyl:
Step 1:
Upload the SVG into Design Space, and size to fit. Then, send the project to the machine to cut.
Step 2:
Weed the excess vinyl and apply transfer tape over the cut vinyl.
Step 3:
Apply the vinyl to a clean surface, starting in the middle and carefully smooth bubbles out as you apply the vinyl.
