Painted Jar DIY
In the Spring issue of Everyday Party Magazine, My Thrifty Sister shared several wonderful DIY’s! I really loved the painted jar DIY.
Supplies:
Spray paint
2′ wooden stake
Nail file
Wax
Spray paint glass jars I hold a 2’ wood stake, place the jar on the end of stake and then I can paint without getting it all over me.
Once jar is dry sand around letters with a fat nail file to remove the paint from just the letter edges. Use your wax to finish the jars with a matte look.
These jars are so popular and versatile, I plan on making several of them for our outdoor get togethers this summer! I love a simple DIY, especially when it involves spray paint and glass jars!
Be sure to check back soon for more DIY’s and recipes from My Thrifty Sister. Take a look at her lovely ladies brunch in the Spring 2014 issue of EPM. And I am very excited to spill the beans about her sharing a FANTASTIC Red, White, and BOOM celebration in the Summer 2014 issue of EPM too!
