Cherry Cola Slushie. My family has been on a slushie drink kick this summer. It is about 100* in the shade here, and our daily storms are not making their appearances like they normally do. So, it’s hot, real hot…and we have been experimenting with lots of ice cream and slushie recipes.
Shopping list:
Coca Cola (Sprite is great too)
Cherry Man Cherries
Cute Straws
Ice
We have a Margaritaville Drink Mixer…we have had it for YEARS, and we use it all.the.time. It is awesome for homemade slushies, adult or kid friendly. Regular blenders are good, but this machine makes the smoothest frozen drinks ever, no ice chunks.
Begin by pouring 8-12 oz of Coca Cola (or Sprite) into the jug of the Margaritaville, and 2 oz of Cherry Man Cherry Syrup. Add ice to the hopper of the Margaritaville, or the the jug of your blender. Add about a cup to a cup and a half of ice. Blend until smooth.
Pour into a cup, add a Cherry Man Cherry or three, and a cute straw and enjoy!
