Summers are about eating outside as often as possible. And if you can’t eat outside, then you should definitely be enjoying your dinner fresh off the grill. But, just in case you can’t fire up the grill, this recipe for the ultimate hot dog can be made in the house too.

Yesterday I shared a Simple Homemade Chips Recipe. Chips are truly one of the best Summer foods, and if you can make them yourself, even better!
You can make homemade tortilla chips the same way, just use corn tortillas instead of potatoes. And if you do, you should definitely make this Simple Tomatillo Salsa Recipe!
The Ultimate Hot Dog
The ultimate hot dog is topped like a burger and eats like a full meal. And, you only need a few toppings to make this amazing hot dog!
First, you need to start with a good quality hot dog. We like the ones we can buy at the butcher counter. If that’s not an option, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs are really good too!
I served our hot dogs with fresh fruit and homemade potato chips. I added some blue cheese crumbles and bbq sauce to the chips when they were still hot, and holy cow they were AMAZING!
