St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. I am a happily Irish girl…my Irish roots are deep, and I am proud of my heritage. In an effort to embrace my heritage {wink, wink}, I hosted a fun little St. Paddy’s Day celebration for some friends.
We had a kids play room set up, with video games and pizza, and I set up my studio as an Irish Pub. I served individual Shepard’s Pies in mini pie pans from Baker’s Party Shop, Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse mini pies, and lots of beer! 
- 2 lbs browned ground beef
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 bag of frozen corn
- Shredded cheese to taste
- Salt and pepper
- Layer ground beef, corn, cheese, and potatoes in 5" aluminum pie pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350*
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on top
- These can be placed in freezer bags and stored for simple meals too!
- 1 Box Chocolate Pudding
- 1 Container of Whipped Cream
- 1 Cup of Irish Cream
- 1 Cup of Milk
- Pre-made Pie Crusts in mini pie plates
- Prepare pudding according to package directions, substituting 1 cup of Irish Cream for 1 cup of milk (or 1/2 milk, and 1/2 Irish Cream)
- Allow to cool, and gently fold in the whipped cream.
- Fill mini pie crusts and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour
The mood was set with a fabulous custom banner from Oriental Trading Company. I customized it with my mom’s last name to make it more personal. Our friends were given green plastic cups to mimic beer cans to drink out of, and as party favors after the party. 
Gold coin candies were on the bar, and didn’t last long with the kids and adults grabbing them by the handful.
We had an amazing St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Even if it was a little early, I guess we will have to have a part two party this weekend! Sláinte!!!
