Simple Caramel Apple Cider. Last week was the official first day of Fall, and despite not having cooler weather, I still yearn for more Fall foods, decor, and activities. One of my kids’ favorite Fall drinks is Apple Cider. They love getting it from Starbucks, from the grocery store, and even Fall festivals. But, it gets expensive to buy 4 apple ciders every time they want one. So, I decided to make my own version, and the kids (and I) LOVE it!
I bought Simply Apple, pressed apple juice at the grocery store. I liked it because it was literally just pressed apples! Then, I made a caramel syrup using my Caramel Creams. I followed the recipe on the Caramel Creams website, but, I added a pinch of salt, and I doubled the vanilla extract. It was PERFECT! I did need to add a little corn syrup to it after I refrigerated it. I also grated some fresh cinnamon for the top of the drinks.
I warmed the Simply Apple Juice for about a minute in the microwave, and added the Caramel Cream syrup. For a little fun, I even sliced an Apple Pie Cow Tale and added a paper straw in the middle!
Our Simple Caramel Apple Cider was a huge hit at our farm party!
