Simple Christmas Gift DIY
with Sizzix
With the holidays fast approaching and a large family and many teachers to buy for, I often find myself reaching for a gift card and a simple little gift bag. But, with just a few minutes of work, and just a few extra dollars (gift bags and cards are expensive) you can make something a little more personal to put the gift card in. Or, you can easily give this simple Christmas gift DIY project as a gift on its own!
I spent about 5 minutes making this little shadow box, and it is absolutely adorable!
Supplies:
Sizzix Bigz Die – Handwritten Believe
Fabric
Spray Adhesive
Hershey’s Kisses
Shadow Box
PenBlade (or other cutting tool, but I promise the PenBlade is AH-MAZ-ING, and you NEED it)
Gift Card (optional)
Begin by cutting your vinyl with a standard Sizzix sandwich. Cutting Pad, Die, Vinyl, Cutting Pad, roll through the Sizzix. Apply to the shadow box glass.
Remove the back from the shadow box and use as a guide to trim the fabric. Apply spray adhesive to the shadow box back, and apply the fabric. Trim excess if necessary. (I used a different piece of fabric than I showed in the supplies image…)
Add candy to the shadow box, be sure to add enough to hide the gift card. Add the gift card, and replace the back cover.
Voila! A simple Christmas gift DIY!
