Ice Cream – I Scream, You Scream,
We all Scream for Ice Cream
Ice Cream I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream! My little middle is celebrating his birthday in a few weeks and we are re-using some of the fun products we got from Minted a few months back for his birthday. We will be turning our dining room into a Soda Fountain, and I am super excited about some of the fun decor I have planned for this party!
I ordered a fun Ice Cream Cone die from Sizzix recently, and got to work making felt ice cream cone pieces. I hot glued several cones together, then glued each assembled cone to some ribbon to make a fun bunting! I LOVE to make simple party decor, and this is definitely one of the easiest I have ever made!
I loved this cute little die so much, I couldn’t stop with just the bunting though! I made three more felt cones for a felt board. I made the felt board with a spray painted Dollar Tree frame, with the glass removed. I attached a piece of felt to a cut out piece of foam board using spray adhesive, and re-assembled the freshly painted frame. After the party is finished, I will give the felt board to my niece for quiet play.

Bunting DIY:
1) Cut Felt ( I layered it to cut out more than one at a time)
2) Have the kids help assemble the ice cream cones and with help, hot glue them together.
3) Hot glue ribbon to the backs of the top ice cream scoop
Voila! Cute, simple, and affordable! This project took very little time, and even less money to make!
Felt Board DIY:
1) Paint frame
2) While the frame dries, have the kids cut the ice cream cones
3) While the kids are cutting ice cream cones, cut the foam board to fit the frame, and attach felt
4) Reassemble the frame, minus the glass
That’s it! So simple!
