Halloween Ghost DIY
I was recently sent a set of ClearSnaps stamps, and I am going to be totally honest, I am not much of a stamper, if you will. I have a few stamp pads, but I can’t seem to figure out how all of my amazing Xyron team members can do such magical things with their stamp pads. So, I sat with the ClearSnaps stamp pad, and struggled with creating a project using it and my Xyron products. But, my boys, being such darling boys, have called me out on our lackluster Halloween decor this year. They asked if we could do some Halloween Ghost DIY projects. Since cheese cloth ghosts could not be easier to make, I smiled and we made a family of spooky Halloween Ghosts for our entryway.
This review is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed above. I was provided the sample free of charge by the company or PR agency and I provided my honest opinion.
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional. These commissions help to keep the rest of my content free, so thank you!
But, one kid wanted to have eyes and a mouth on his ghost…and I knew a sharpie wasn’t going to do it, neither would iron on vinyl…so we cut some felt and ran it through one of my Xyron Sticker Makers. And then, inspiration struck me and I decided to paint my ghosts with the ClearSnaps ink. Only{!!!!}, I didn’t have to paint it on, because the ink colors in the ClearSnaps color wheel are removable {and now the name makes so much more sense to me…I might be a little slow}, so we used the color wedge to paint and age our ghosts! I seriously want to stamp.all.the.things now! For real!
Supplies:
Cheese Cloth
Liquid Starch
Jar to drape cheese cloth over
Felt
Scissors
Halloween Ghost DIY
Dip the cheese cloth into a bowl of liquid starch and ring out excess starch. Drape the starch over the jar (I used a gourd to make the rounded head) and allow to dry overnight. To contain the mess, we all made our ghosts on cookie sheets.
Once the ghosts are dry, paint them with an ink wedge from the ClearSnaps color wheel.
Next, run the felt circles and an oval through your Xyron Sticker Maker and stick onto your ghost.
Voila! You have a simple, cute little ghost.
