Easter Happy Mail
Last year I decided to send my aunt some of her favorite Easter candies. She loves the Cadbury Eggs, so I purchased several and set them aside until I gathered a few more things…I struggled to find just the right things, and I didn’t want her eggs to get lost in my house of many boys, so I popped them in a medium sized plastic Easter egg, taped it shut, added her address, and mailed them off! The postal worker looked at me like I was crazy, and they were a lot more expensive to mail than I had anticipated (just under $2 each egg), but so great to mail!
Supplies:
Plastic eggs (medium size, I mailed smaller ones last year, but the Post Office wouldn’t mail that size again this year)
Candy or treats to fit in the egg
Washi tape to decorate and secure the egg
Small mailing label
Packing tape
Gather the supplies, fill the eggs.
Decorate the eggs (optional), secure the eggs closed with washi tape.
Attach the address label, cover with packing tape, take to the Post Office and have the postal workers look at you funny.
My Aunt was so tickled to have the eggs in her mailbox! Even her mailman got a kick out of delivering them.
*Note* these took a lot longer to arrive than normal mail typically does.
