Vintage Florida Bridal Shower with Social Artworking. As a Florida native, it was pretty easy for me to fall head over heals in love with this design by Social Artworking. I immediately thought of vintage orange crates. That reminded me of all the pretty tea towels and vintage aprons my great grandmother had in her home.
This Orange Tree design lends itself so well to a sweet bridal shower. Guests could bring the bride kitchen goodies and paint sweet towels for the bride to be. Though, I just invited a few friends and we pretended it was a bridal shower. My friends humor me so well. We all painted our tea towels and chatted. I kept the food super simple with fresh oranges, and another Rum Cake from Bootlegger Bakery. We all sipped on orange infused water, and citrus seltzer water.
I set up the party in our new outdoor party space (that I LOVE so much!) I used our patio furniture and a simple folding table to sit at. The back bar was perfect for food, drinks, and extra paint and supplies. The back wall is great as is, but I added a vintage chippy white window with a lemon wreath hung in the center.
This Social Artworking design is perfect on a canvas, I want to frame it with old barn wood. But, I REALLY love it on tea towels. I picked up a four pack at Target for $4. DecoArt sent me special Americana Fabric Painting Medium to use with the paint so I could use it on fabric. Simply trace the design as you would on canvas, and follow the instructions for the paint additive.
I made homemade Orangecello for my girls and it was so delicious. Look for the recipe and free printable tag on the blog here!
