Rustic Tailgate Party
Y’all know I love a good tailgate party. Tailgate food, tailgate drinks, good friends, football…it’s my thing! And, I really love the idea of tailgating at home. So, to celebrate the kick off of college football season, I hosted a fun little rustic styled tailgate party.

Tailgate
Whether you are heading to the game to watch your team play in person or if you’re staying home to watch them play on TV, you have to tailgate!
Generally, we tailgate at home. couple of times during the season, and I enjoy the tailgating as much as I do the actual game.
Tailgating Food
One of my favorite things about college football is the community of fans. When we host a football viewing party or when we tailgate with friends, we have a pot luck style of party. Everyone brings something for the party. It’s a great way to keep food costs down, and have everyone involved. We always bring a crock pot of my husband’s famous chili. Our friends bring hot dogs and brats, chips, and other sides.
When I set up this rustic pre-game party, I wanted to only bring things that would fit in the tailgate section of our SUV. But, I also wanted it to look inviting.
I only used items I had at home already, and I packed up our SUV and I was ready to party!
Tailgating Essentials
I always pack blankets, a cooler full of drinks, adult drinks (My favorite Jackson Morgan Southern Cream and Bourbon), disposable cups and plates, a crock pot full of our tailgate food, other snacks, and a football to toss before the game. I like to pack a table, chairs or bench, and fresh flowers. This season, I have the most adorable UGA cups from Two Funny Girls. They have tons of teams and I just adore their stuff!
For this party, I placed our dining bench in the back of the SUV upside down and loaded everything else in on top of it.
Football and Fall Y’all Free Printables
My family could live off of popcorn, so I pre-made a bunch of popcorn and filled lunch bags with popcorn and everyone’s favorite seasonings. But, it looked too plain, so I made some Football and Fall Y’all printable tags. I just ran them through my Xyron Sticker Maker and stuck them to the front of each bag. Easy and adorable!
