This week I am sharing quick and simple entertaining ideas and recipes for Memorial Day, and Summer gatherings! These Quick Summer Party Appetizers are sure to be a hit at your summer shindig!
It seems like nearly every party we host has chips and dip of some sort…however, I tend to get tired of the typical dips available and really want something more…but, who has time to make a special dip? I want to grab and go at my local grocery store. At a recent trip to Walmart, I saw the NEW Chobani Mezé™ Dips line of savory dips in the deli. I was intrigued…and for just a few dollars (grab a coupon here), I was willing to try them. Bonus points for them being all natural and non-gmo! I grabbed one of each flavor; Roasted Red Pepper – a sweet and slightly hot, mix of roasted peppers, Three Pepper Salsa – a light blend of green peppers, chili peppers & jalapeno peppers with herbs, Smoked Onion Parmesan – rich mix that combines bold onion flavor with nutty parmesan, and Chili Lime – a tangy blend of lime and light spice, with ranch-style herbs. The Smoked Onion Parmesan was my favorite, but my boys liked the Three Pepper Salsa and the Chili Lime. One even suggested using the Chili lime on a taco salad! I love that these dips are ready to serve. I grabbed some crackers and veggies at the store and I was almost ready for my guests!
Instead of simply serving the veggies on a tray in a pile, I cut red peppers and cucumbers into strips and placed them on a white serving tray to mimic the stripes on a flag. I used a tiny star food cutter to cut stars out of the cucumbers and pepper too. Then, I placed a few blueberries on the tray and added the cucumber stars on top!
I used another serving platter for the crackers and added two types to the tray, with the pepper stars in the middle.
To keep the Chobani Meze dips cool, I put them in a metal bucket full of ice. (Party tip, I place a small hand towel under the bucket to catch the condensation off the bucket) I do this often, with fruit, salads, and dips. It keeps the food cool and can still look cute on your party table!
I love being able to serve my family and friends a delicious and good for them appetizer or snack with very little effort! This appetizer station was ready in under 20 minutes and looks adorable!
