Outdoor Movie Party

I bought a new projector screen at the beginning of the summer, and I can tell you it was one of the best purchases we made all summer long! The boys have had movie nights and game nights with friends. We’ve watched tv, sports, and movies out back. And, for my birthday, we had a fun Outdoor Movie Party with friends.

Movie Party Ideas

We have had lots of fun movie night parties. For my son and husband’s birthdays, we rented our local theater to watch classic movies from the 80’s. My husband wanted to watch Indiana Jones, you can see more of his party in this Retro Movie Night Party post. My son asked to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, we had so much fun. Look at these cookies!

Last year we had an Outdoor Movie Night Party for my nephew’s birthday. We didn’t have our inflatable movie screen, so we just used a sheet then. Now we have this screen and we LOVE it!

Outdoor Party Ideas

I wanted to rent the theater for my own birthday this year, but I wasn’t too excited about the movie choices. So, we decided to watch a movie in the back yard. We set up inflatable mattresses and blankets in the yard for our guests. And I filled our outdoor bar with snacks, movie candy, wine, and flowers.

Since I am a little rustic, I filled fruit bushels with flavored popcorn, and a vintage style tool box with movie theater candy boxes. We had cookies and cake, and bags of chips to snack on as well. And, we enjoyed mimosas, sangria, wine (I super loved the Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes Cali Red wine), and even adult Capri Suns with this easy adult juice pouch recipe.

It was so much fun, and we can’t wait to have another movie night again soon!
