Mother’s Day
I have four little men, and I feel so very blessed they call me “Mom” (even after the 4 millionth time in a 3 hour stretch.) Mother’s Day for us is usually a day together doing fun things as a family. For many years we have gone out of town for the weekend or simply spent the day at an amusement park…a family favorite for sure! We don’t typically go all out with a fancy celebration or over the top gifts, and that is totally ok with me. I love the cards the boys make me, and the macaroni necklaces and the over glued pictures they create.
One of the sweetest things to me is my boys’ handwriting. It is stereotypically boy and is so cute to me. I have watched my oldest son’s handwriting develop from little boy, to big boy, to teen, and I wish I had more of his little boy handwriting.
With the realization that my babies are growing up and I will miss so many things they have done in the past, I decided to create a font for each of them with their OWN handwriting.
These are my sons’ fonts. I could not loves these fonts any more than I do, especially the little one’s font!
Now, you may be thinking OMGoodness, I am NOT tech savvy at all, how in the world can you create a font, let alone a font of my 7 year old’s handwriting….guess what? There is an app for that! Yep, there is an iPad app to create your own fonts!
I used the iFontMaker App for $6.99 in the Apple App Store. My kids LOVE writing their own fonts now, and I love having a record of their handwriting for years to come. I have downloaded each of their fonts to my computer to use whenever I want, including the Teacher Appreciation Tags I shared earlier this week.
A digital copy of my boys’ precious handwriting and a nice cold beverage and time in the pool with the guys that call me Mom are all I need and want for Mother’s Day.
This is not a sponsored or an affiliate post, I am simply sharing a product I use and enjoy.
