Magical Unicorn Party

Magical Unicorn Party. Unicorns are so popular right now, and why not? They are majestic, they probably evoke memories of your favorite Lisa Frank notebook as a child, and they remind you that it’s ok to believe in something magical! As a little girl, I loved all things unicorn and pastel rainbow…My niece is so enchanted with unicorns, and cannot get enough sparkling unicorns!

As a former lover of all things pastel unicorn, I thought it would be fun to indulge my childhood fantasy and style a magical unicorn party. I shopped for my enchanted party online, because…online. Oriental Trading Company did not disappoint, they have everything a unicorn lover could possibly want for their magical and enchanted celebration! Since I still prefer pastel colors with my unicorns, I ordered party supplies from their Unicorn Sparkle supply line. There is the perfect balance of sparkling gold and soft pastels.

I styled the party on a blank wall, I could have left the wall alone, but I wanted to bring in a little whimsy and color. I ordered a bolt of Pink Tulle from Amazon {again, online} and my son and I made a wall of pink tulle. To do this, we looped sections of tulle cut several inches wide {and twice the length we wanted the wall to be} onto a section of 1×1 scrap wood. I hung the board on the wall with a few Command Brand Hooks. I moved our saw horse table in front of the tutu wall, It needed some more unicorn magic, so I hung tassels and glittering star garland across the front of the table. Gold star confetti topped the table to add a touch more sparkling magic.

Since I was styling a dream party, I had plenty of candy on the table in clear apothecary style jars. One of my childhood favorite candies was rock candy, so I had to have that! Rainbow gummies, and shimmering pastel gum balls filled more glass jars. A simple cake sat on the center of the table.

A party isn’t a party without favors…I filled sparkling unicorn favor bags with soft pastel unicorn crayons, fun unicorn rings, gummie rainbow candies, printable coloring sheets, and a fun unicorn ornament that can be customized with each guests’ name. {Just buy a fine tip paint pen and write the names on the bottom of the ornament}
