Love Will Bring Us Together
I love fun party themes, and this sweet Love Will Bring Us Together Valentine’s Day Party by Perfect Party Packages is as fun as it is adorable! And those dresses…ah, they are so retro chic. Be sure to read to the end, Tala is sharing something sweet with EPM!
From Perfect Party Packages:
In the words of Captain & Tennille, “Love will Keep us Together”… but in the words of a Party-a-holic like myself, I say “Love will Bring Us Together so we can paaaaaarty!” A Valentine’s Day party is a darling way to get all your friends together, stock up on lots of red and pink hearts (and champagne for that matter) and just use it as an excuse to be surrounded by the people you love and appreciate.
Forget the old cliché of only inviting couples and make it an affair for everyone, young and old. If you love them, invite them! And even though young children don’t quite get the concept of Valentine’s Day, make sure they are involved too.
Follow these simple steps to throw an easy yet extraordinarily fun Valentine’s Party:
Send it with Love – if you are not one for usually doing invitations, why not send out a Valentine’s Day card invitation instead, either by email or post. I prefer using snail mail, as it just has that personal touch and shows I went to a bit more effort than pressing “send” in an email.
Decorations – I love styling a party; I use personalised stationery/printables to add that extra touch. I often print out cupcake toppers, food labels, bottle wrappers, candy bag tags and posters which I put in frames to round off the whole theme and feel of a party. However, for Valentine’s Day, it could not be easier: just cut up giant red and pink paper hearts, thread string through them and ta-da, you have made a cute banner! Throw in some balloons and you can almost decorate a whole room with those 2 items alone! Just add red plates, napkins, straws and even more heart shapes scattered across the table and you’ll soon have an amazing feature table.
Feed the Heart – food is certainly still the way to my husband’s heart. He is a real foodie. That doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune. Sometimes the most ordinary foods can be the best. The all-time party favourite for my 4 year old daughter, is popcorn; give her popcorn, a carton of apple juice and a cake pop and she’ll be as happy as pie. Plus she is usually too busy having fun to care for anything else. Another idea is to have a “Pot Love” (usually called “Pot Luck”, but I have changed the name for this occasion) – you can ask every guest to bring a dish they have “Made with Love”, so they can share their most-loved recipes at the party.
Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow – but not at a Valentine’s Party! It’s the perfect excuse to say a final farewell and thank you to your guests and give them lots of hugs and kisses before they leave. I like to give my guests little candy bags to take home and fill each bag with a surprise message telling that person why I love and appreciate them. It makes me happy knowing they’ll find the message at a later date and that it will put a smile on their face.
Love is FREE – so that’s why I want to give all Every Day Party Magazine readers some FREE Valentine’s Day party stationery. Just drop me an email and I’ll send them right over to you!
Now, put on a gorgeous dress and a big smile… and share the love!
