Hot Cocoa Party

Hot Cocoa Party.  We just got our first real cold snap of the season, and as soon as it gets even a tiny bit chilly outside, my kids want hot cocoa and cookies.  I try to keep instant packets in the pantry at all times, just in case it dips below 70* {We’re Floridians}. 

Imagine my sheer delight when I saw the Winter Wonderland Cookies and Cocoa Gift Sets by Jen T. by Design and Baby Gabey Cookies!   Jen graciously sent me a box of goodies, and I have saved it until a cold snap.  While the kiddos were at hockey and their grandparents’ house I baked up some yummy cookies (look for the recipe on Monday) and set up a little hot cocoa station on my makeshift box table.  

I filled our hot drink dispenser with a half milk, half water mixture.  I added the {way nicer than I typically buy for my kids} hot cocoa packets to one of the wooden tool boxes we had left over from our Build a Monster Party.  The adorable wrapped cups and the print in a frame were placed on my farm style stool on the box.  Small bowls of crushed candy canes and whipped cream were added, and jars of chocolate chips and marshmallows rounded out the toppings.  A rustic wooden deer from Consumer Crafts was the perfect accent to the table!  

It was a simple table set up, but I am sure the boys are going to love sipping on their hot cocoa, snuggled in their jammies enjoying a holiday movie! 

These boxes come totally ready to give as gifts, and are a perfect gift for a teacher or someone that has everything.
