Holiday Gift Idea. ‘Tis the season of gifting, and I truly enjoy finding the perfect gift for everyone in my life. Some of the most important people in our lives are our boys’ teachers. As the boys get older, it’s a lot harder to give their teachers gifts. This is our youngest son’s last year in elementary school, and one of his primary teachers was also his teacher in second grade. She loves our boy as much as we do, maybe even more some days… So, I really want to make her gift a little more special.

I found a soft throw blanket from Target. With the blanket in hand, I searched for the perfect accessories. I decided to add the blanket to an inexpensive bucket. I bought some simple white cocoa mugs and customized it with my Cricut and Iron On Glitter Vinyl. I added a variety of hot cocoa to the bucket, some candies, ornaments, and Redbox codes. 

I totally could have left the blanket as is, and it would have been beautiful, but I wanted it to be just for the teacher. She has a family, and as a mama, I know what’s mine is theirs and what’s theirs is theirs. So, I added her monogram to the corner of the blanket. I purchased a monogram SVG file on Etsy, edited it for her name, and uploaded it to Design Space. Then, I cut it {mirror the image} out of Cricut Iron On Vinyl, weeded it, and pressed it on the blanket with my EasyPress and protective sheet.
