Hocus Pocus Party.  Growing up, I was {and still am} a HUGE Bette Midler fan.  My sister is a HUGE fan of Halloween Movies, which means, we have watched Hocus Pocus no less than 500 times since we were kids.  So, it seemed fitting that I would host a Hocus Pocus Movie night for the family. 

Oriental Trading Company supplied me with a lot of the party props, the rest came from my home stash.  My favorite parts of the movie are when the sisters are in Sanderson Cottage.  {I love the magic of Disney.}  I decided to host the movie watching party inside, and decorate my fireplace and mantel to look similar to Sanderson Cottage.  I draped spooky cloth on the bricks, and over the mantel, and decorated the mantel with candles, spell books, and creepy cool candlesticks from Oriental Trading.  I even hung some of our Lodge Cast Iron pans from the mantel, similar to the pots and pans in the movie. 

In front of the fireplace, I erected a wooden branch tripod and stuck small branches around a large cauldron from Oriental Trading Company.  Simple black witch hats were placed around the hearth of the fireplace, as though they were left by Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson themselves.  Three rustic style brooms sat on the hearth as well, waiting for the Sanderson Sisters return. 

Next to the fireplace I set up a few round tables, one held another witch hat and Winifred’s Spell book.  I quickly made it with a paper mache book, hot glue, and DecoArt paint.  Just in front of that table, I placed a larger round table with a Cast Iron Cauldron cake and bubbling green frosting.  I used candle sticks to elevate small cauldron cupcakes with bubbling green frosting.  I laid dead man toes in a serving tray.
