Game Night Party
Guys, my boys have been out of school for just about two months. In those two months, they have eaten all of the food and are currently working their way through the library of Xbox games. This is not how I want them to spend their summers. So, we compromised, and I told them they could eat all the food and play all the games if they invited their friends over and played with them, in person. Much to their chagrin, I set up a little party station, and I was able to do it on a budget by shopping at my local Dollar General Store! I was able to buy all of CHIPS AHOY! cookies and even Xbox Live Gold cards to make their Game Night Party a little more fun!
Prep for a Game Party
Whenever I host a party, I create a list of supplies and party decor. If I can, I shop for decor at home and create my own printables. This allows me to spend more on food and favors. I shopped for the party at our local Dollar General Store and grabbed several varieties of CHIPS AHOY! cookies and Xbox Live Gold cards for the kids to play.

Gamer Party Setup
For this party, I gathered all of the boys’ Xbox controllers, systems, and games to decorate our TV console. I added my son’s locker room speaker for the kids to run their music through. Green buckets were filled with CHIPS AHOY! cookies, extra remotes, and little toys for the kids to play with when they weren’t gaming.
I also removed all of our decor from our wall shelves and added the Xbox on one shelf. The second shelf was for more CHIPS AHOY! cookies in a glass cookie jar, drinks, and some more gamer decor.
I created printables for this party, so I hung a banner under the TV and used food tents and party circles to label the types of CHIPS AHOY! cookies and add a little gamer style to the drink bottles.
The kids all had a great time enjoying each other’s company, snacking on CHIPS AHOY! cookies, and playing games…I was just happy to see them hanging out with their buddies in person! We decided to make this a monthly game night, and I am already working on the next party theme.
