Flamingo Party

Flamingo Party

Flamingo Party

I was recently sent several different types of paper products from Expressionery.  I am going to be very honest, I am not good at note writing, I want to be, but I am just not good at it.  Thankfully, I do consider myself creative, and I do love an excuse to throw a party!

Host a Fun Flamingo Party

I’ve been sharing my fun Flamingo Party and some of the details all week. You know I have always been a fan of flamingos. All the way back to the ’80’s. Think The Facts of Life and their store, Over Our Heads, and Miami Vice. Now that you know how old I am. When I saw the adorable flamingo and palm tree note cards, memo pads, and stickers, I KNEW they were for me!  Since I am a bad note writer, I knew it would be totally unrealistic of me to talk about all the notes I wrote to people on the beautiful cards I was sent. But, I did know I could tell you about how I used those note cards as invitations, the memo sheets as food tents, and the stickers as favor tags and water bottle wrappers!

I loved being able to grab a few note cards and hand write a note inviting a few friends for desserts and drinks instead of simply printing one up on my printer.  It really set the tone for this informal gathering of friends.  Instead of printing out food labels (or ignoring the idea all together) I hand wrote little sayings on the memo papers that I cut to size and folded over.  Since  I live in FL, and it is almost as hot as the surface of the sun here, I always have water bottles at my parties. But, I couldn’t just throw a bottles of water in my (plastic planter) cooler without making it match.  So, I cut the stickers in half and placed them on the bottles where the labels were.  I also used the stickers for the favor bag tags for my guests.  I shared a sneak peek of the wine glass favors on Instagram.Everyday Party Magazine Flamingo Party using Expressionery Paper
