She Shed Warming Party

For Christmas this year, my husband bought me a shed. We spent nearly nine weeks building it from scratch. It was delivered to us on a large pallet, and we put each and every piece together with a few adjustments to make it “livable”. Once we finished, I was ready to host an epic she-shed warming party!

Party Decorations with Cricut

We grossly underestimated the costs involved in making a she-shed, so my decorating and party budget was pretty tight. Thankfully, I was able to use my Cricut to create custom decor for the shed and the party. (This DIY Oversized Sign is one of my favorite pieces in the shed). And, I also used my Cricut Maker, Mug Press, and Infusible Ink to make party favors for my guests. My Maker 3 was also busy making giant chipboard tags for me to use as labels.

I wanted the party to be very feminine. And, since I love fresh flowers, I went with a floral theme for the whole party. I gathered floral fabric and made a rag ribbon backdrop, and rag ribbon wrappers for tin can vases.

I wanted the favors to match the party theme, but I also wanted them to be useful. And who doesn’t love a warm cup of coffee or tea in the morning?

Make a Custom Mug

I used one sheet of Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet to make three flowers on a dozen mugs. I carefully placed the cut images on the mugs, covered them with paper, and put them in the Mug Press. Once the Mug Press finished the mugs, and the mugs were cool, I removed the paper and the Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets from the mugs and filled them with some of my favorite chocolates.

These were one of the easiest DIY party favors I have ever made, and I LOVED the final result. My guests also took home a tin can vase of flowers too. I painted tin cans white, tied a rag ribbon bow around them, and filled them with grocery store flowers. These were also used for decorations around my shed during the party.

DIY Party Decor

I want my shed to be a beautiful, and calming space for me to work, study, and relax. So, I made sure the party space reflected that as well. My shed is decorated with a rustic cottage feeling, with a little farmhouse style too. So, I used my Maker 3 to make oversized chipboard tags for the party too. (Now they are just decorative pieces in the shed)

She Shed Warming Party

I invited my closest friends and family to my She Shed Warming Party. My counter and work space was the perfect drink and party favor station. And, my media console doubled as a buffet for treats and light appetizers. I created a beautiful fruit and cheese tray, crackers and cheese boards, and a cookie tray full of mini cookies. And, I also served tortellini pasta salad and mini meatballs in coordinating cupcake liners.

I am already looking forward to hosting more parties in my she-shed and back yard for every occasion and season!
