This summer has been pretty amazing! Full of warm days by the pool and beach, long nights spent laughing and watching movies on the big screen. But, we can’t finish the summer without a mermaid party, and I have loads of fun and easy mermaid party ideas to help you with your next party under the sea!

Mermaid Theme Party
My niece, like all little girls, loves mermaids. And we have really missed our under the sea party fun.
Our very favorite party was this Mermaid Party I put together just for her one summer afternoon! She loved giant DIY Mermaid Backdrop I made, and had it in her bedroom for a long time.
Mermaid Party Ideas
You don’t have to buy a ton of mermaid party supplies to have a fun under the sea party with your little one. In fact, I only bought some balloons and shell paper plates for this little celebration.
The rest of the party supplies were things I already had around the house! But, my niece was just thrilled to have a little girl time and pool party fun before school started!
Ballon arches are super easy and affordable, so, we added one to the pool stairs as a simple backdrop. Then, I moved some of our potted plants to the pool deck to mimic coral. I filled some lanterns with pom pom garland. Since there were only a few mermaids swimming in my pool, I used a sand bucket to hold ice and drinks for the girls.
I also ordered some cute neoprene mermaid tail popsicle holders for the kids, and served them freezer pops while they swam.
