Y’all, visiting NOLA for Mardi Gras celebrations is on my bucket list. But, until then, I will celebrate in my own little way at home with my family. This year we aren’t hosting a party, but we will enjoy the flavors and sounds of Mardi Gras. And, this Easy Hurricane Drink Recipe will be on repeat for Fat Tuesday!
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Mardi Gras Recipes
Last year I made milk punch for the first time, and it was SO yummy! Have you tried it? Check out this Easy Mardi Gras Milk Punch Recipe if you want to make some.
Pralines are a year round favorite for me, my aunt brought me some from (Amazon Affiliate Link) Aunt Sally’s when I was a kid and I was hooked. Since I tried them as a kid, I have worked on creating a suitable substitute for them, and this Chocolate Salted Caramel Pralines Recipe might even be better than the ones I loved so much as a kid!
Easy Hurricane Drink Recipe
The classic Hurricane drink was developed by Pat O’Brien’s in the French Quarter in the 1940’s. The classic Hurricane glass is a souvenir in itself, and will be carefully packaged for you to take with you when you leave the iconic restaurant.
I put my own twist on the classic drink, since I am not a big fan of passion fruit. But if you want a true Pat O’Briens Hurricane at home, you can order the mix on Amazon here.
