Simple DIY Party Tiara
Simple DIY Party Tiara. My little niece is about to be six, for her birthday last year, we took her to Disney, and she is all princess, all the time now. Having only boys, this is so very sweet to me and I can’t seem to get enough of it.
She was visiting recently, and whispered that she wanted to be a princess again, and have a party like we did before she went to school. So, of course I immediately started planning a mini princess party in my head.
If you want to make your own princess party tiara, you will need:
Derwent Academy Twin Tip Markers or Derwent Academy Water-Soluble Markers, Fine Tip, 20 Pack
Derwent Academy Heavyweight Marker Paper
Glitter Glue
The first thing we did was open up Cricut Design Space and find a tiara she loved. My Cricut cut the outline of the tiara, and drew details on it. I used Derwent Academy Heavyweight Marker Paper, and set the Cricut to cut light weight card stock. This allowed my niece and I to create a beautiful custom tiara, exactly how she wanted it.
Together, we colored the tiara with my Derwent Academy Twin Tip Markers. Then, we added glitter in the spaces we didn’t color {and all over everything}.
Next, we used my Xyron Tape Runner to secure the tiara in a circle and on a hair clip.
This was the perfect activity for our mini princess party, and I think we will use this as an activity for her sixth birthday party.
I love being able to create truly custom party accessories with my own kids and niece and nephew.
