Seaside Labor Day Party
Seaside Labor Day Party. It’s nearly Labor Day and we are preparing for an amazing weekend of relaxation, pool time, good food, and time with friends.
I’m setting up our party space for our seafood bake, and getting everything ready early so I can just enjoy the weekend!
Weather permitting, we will host everyone on the party deck. I wanted to go with a seaside, coastal vibe, because my original plans to host a party on the beach have been changed, due to Central Florida’s terrible red tide problems.
I’ve hung our vintage flag on the back wall, and covered the counter with a nice table cloth.
I decorated the space with metal lanterns, wooden crates, and my driftwood sailboats.
We have really enjoyed seafood bakes all summer, so we will serve a tray of seafood, dinner rolls, and drinks for dinner. I wanted to keep clean up as simple as possible, so I picked up some cute lobster paper plates from HomeGoods. However, seafood on paper plates can sometimes be a recipe for disaster, so I bought galvanized metal chargers from Michaels to help stabilize the paper plates. I’ll fill a galvanized serving tray with the chargers, plates, and napkins. Reusable plastic cups from Pink Peppermint Paper matched our theme perfectly and will be a great addition to our guests’ favor bags.
For dessert, we will use a table top grill to make warm s’mores.
I’m so excited to spend one last weekend on summer time, before we jump into the hustle and bustle of fall!
