Back to School Celebration
Back to School Celebration. My boys just returned back to school, and each year on the first day of school I have had a small little after school party for them. I make their favorite treats, buy special drinks, and wait for them to come home. This year was no different.
Since I am knee deep in a million projects right now, the party table was super simple. I used apple name tags to create a banner. {I punched two holes in each apple, and laced gingham ribbon through each hole} The banner was hung above the snack table. I filled a bushel basket with apples to match our back to school party theme, and I picked up some of their favorite green apples for them to snack on too. I also purchased a small Dutch Apple Pie, and their “fancy” apple juice of choice. I made their absolute favorite peanut butter cookies as well.
Of course, my kids totally expect party favors still…even for after school parties, so I ordered some apple treat containers. The containers came pre-filled with toys for younger kids {My youngest is in Middle School}, so I donated those, and filled them with new headphones, funny erasers, food gift cards, and candy.
I love that my kids still expect and want an after school party on the first day of school, especially as they get older!
You can find more Back To School printables and inspiration on the blog too!
