Santa’s Workshop. I am so excited to share this fun little holiday party with you! Be sure to read to the end and check out all of the other holiday inspiration from some of my favorite bloggers!

One of my favorite holiday traditions is hosting parties for my boys and their friends. We recently decided to split up their parties, and host one special party for each of them throughout the season. I am sure it will end soon, but I am going to treasure it for as long as I can.

This shoot was a special one for me. Last year, my youngest learned about Santa…and it truly broke my heart. Bless him though, because he is playing along with me this year. So, I decided to set up a tiny Santa’s Workshop. We asked our guests if they could bring a toy to donate, and the kids made their own little wooden toy party favors at the party. Small baby dolls were used for decor and will be donated with the toys the kids brought. I was able to get most of the party supplies from Oriental Trading, and I gathered the rest from around the house.

I set up a low table in front of our fireplace with wooden crates and a scrap piece of wood. I added a felt bucket full of soft dolls to one side, and the Hearth and Home Letters to Santa Mailbox to the other side. In front of the table, I propped a DIY wooden sign. (I will share the DIY for it on Giggles Galore soon) Adorable elf hats sat on the table and were passed out to our guests as they arrived. I added a little vinyl (grab the Cricut cut file here) to simple metal buckets to hold some vintage tools and paint brushes for the kids to use while they worked in the workshop too. I used a fake cake from Confection Deception on the table, real treats were kept in the kitchen.

The kids were able to paint little wooden cars and make clothespin airplanes during the party. Then they took them home in tiny wooden crates.  (All are available from Oriental Trading Co.)

Our annual holiday party was a big success, and we were all so excited to help Santa do his job this year!
