St. Patrick’s Day Shake Cocktail. When the kids came over for a little Leprechaun hunting fun the other day, the moms stuck around too. It’s one of the perks of having younger kids, play dates equal mom day dates…and it’s good for the soul.Of course when we whipped up the kids’ St. Patrick’s Day Shakes, we decided to make some for ourselves too…adult friendly. We started with the same basic recipe as the kids’ shakes, but then, we added a splash of Kahlua! Yesssssss to chocolate minty alcoholic shakes during the day! Since they looked the same as the kids’ versions, we decided to use fancy gold rimmed cups and gold straws from Party City for our drinks. I had decorated a few with gold vinyl shamrocks for dinner for the kiddos already, so we just used those for our drinks! We all enjoyed our leprechaun hunting fun this week, and I feel like it will be an annual tradition! Grab the simple recipe for the non-alcoholic version here.
