Bourbon Pralines
Bourbon Pralines. Mardi Gras is next week! No one celebrates Fat Tuesday like the Big Easy…my “aunt” was born near New Orleans, and she used to bring back little treats for me every time she visited her family, but my very favorite treat was pralines. I would dream about them. My hubby has ordered some for me, and they are very very good, but also very expensive. I found a recipe online that was simple, and a close second to my favorite brand recently, but, y’all know I had to add my own twist to it!This recipe is originally from Rose Bakes. And, while they are so very yummy as her recipe is shared, I wanted to add my own flavor to them. I omitted the vanilla extract and used 3tsp of Bourbon instead. I also sifted the powdered sugar, as I thought it was hard to mix in well without sifting it. Also, and this is a personal preference, I cut the pecans halves in half once again.
They are absolutely mouthwateringly delicious! And, since they are nearly gone already, I would suggest doubling the recipe…it might be enough!
