Halloween Tricks
Halloween Tricks. I am so excited to share this project! I am even more excited to be a part of Cupcake Wishes and Birthday Dreams’ annual 13 Days of Handmade Halloween!!! I have to tell you all, though, I had planned on sharing how I made these amazing cement tombstones…sadly, those were a big fat fail, and I scrambled to come up with a new project last minute…and I am pretty sure I love this project even more than I ever could have loved the tombstones.
Supplies:
Iron On Vinyl (I used Cricut glitter iron on vinyl)
Muslin Bags (Mine were from Oriental Trading Company)
Spooky Halloween Rings or Candies (Caramel Creams were a hit)
Iron or Heat Press Machine
When I realized I would have to start a new project from scratch, I opened up Cricut Design Space. I can almost always find project inspiration there. I browsed and found a cute little skeleton…and my wheels started turning…I knew I had muslin bags and a drawer full of Cricut iron on vinyl, I also knew I had a doctor’s appointment with three of my flying monkeys sweet gentlemen, and I knew that appointment typically takes FOREVER…so, a quiet activity might be a sanity saver.
I took the skeleton and ungrouped and separated the body from the limbs…and set up a tic tac toe “hashtag”. (I saved the project, so you don’t have to slice and separate, etc) I sent it to the Cricut to cut, and spent forever weeding it. My old eyes cannot see the cut lines in glitter vinyl. Then, I ironed it onto the muslin bags.
Next, I added 5 of each ring/candy style in the bags. Finally, just before the boys ran amuck, amuck, amuck at their appointment, I pulled a few of those little bags of sanity savers out of my purse, and harmony was restored to the office again.
The doc LOVED them, so I gave her one for her son. I actually think I will make some as class treats or party favor bags too. They were pretty easy to make, and so cool!

My Cricut looks at me longingly everyday and I think It’s high time I blow the dust off and get started. This is so cute and simple and my granddaughter would love it.

Thank you! My kids loved it, I love that they aren’t glued to their phones/ipods…and it doesn’t matter if I don’t have paper or a pen, they can still play! I am going to have to make more!
