It is just about time to laissez les bons temps rouler, and I have already ordered my King Cake (and possibly enjoyed one or two with the family already). And, since my kiddos are older now, I like to have a few people over to enjoy Fat Tuesday with traditional treats from the Big Easy. But, of course we like to enjoy an adult beverage or two, and this King Cake Cocktail Recipe will be used to make our evening drink.
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Mardi Gras Recipes
If you’re looking for a different cocktail for Mardi Gras, this Easy Mardi Gras Milk Punch Recipe is simple to make! And, this Easy Hurricane Drink Recipe is another good cocktail for Mardi Gras parties!
I like to make a large batch of cocktails for parties and serve it in a pretty glass pitcher or drink dispenser. By making cocktails in batches, it’s easier to serve guests, or even allow guests to serve themselves.

King Cake Cocktail
Ingredients
- 3 oz Jackson Morgan Southern Cream Salted Caramel Liqueur
- 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
- 3 TBS Brown Sugar Simple Sugar
- Frosting To rim glass
- Colored Sugar To rim glass
- 1 small slice King Cake For garnish
- Whipped Cream
- Cinnamon
Instructions
-
Rim glass with frosting and colored sugar.
-
Fill glass half full with crushed ice.
-
Mix vodka, Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, and simple syrup in a shaker and pour over ice in prepared glass.
-
Add whipped cream and cinnamon, and garish with King Cake.
Begin by rimming your glasses with frosting and colored sugar. For a large party, I would prepare the glasses before guests arrive and keep them on a serving tray next to the drink pitcher. Then, slice the king cake into small triangles, slide one piece onto a cocktail pick, and place it in the glasses.
Fill each glass about halfway with nugget or crushed ice before pouring the cocktail into the glass. We have this ice maker and I LOVE it!
Each cocktail has three ounces of Jackson Morgan Southern Cream, an ounce of vanilla vodka, and 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar simple syrup.
Finally, add a squirt of whipped cream and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
Et voila, you are ready to laissez les bons temps rouler!
