Homemade Gummy Candy

Green candy worms in cauldron

Homemade Gummy Candy

Homemade Gummy Candy. When I was a kid my sister and I had the coolest toy ever…a Creepy Crawlers Maker. We would add a premade glue like substance to mold, and bake the goo in an oven like an Easy Bake Oven. We had so much fun with the creepy crawlers maker! Everyone in the family loved making them. I wish I knew what happened to it.

I was checking out Nostalgia Electrics recently and I saw their gummy candy maker and I was instantly transported to my childhood…only this time it was better, because the creepy crawlies we can make now are totally edible!!
My boys and I spent our Saturday morning making gummy candies and being totally silly.

We melted the gelatin mixture in the Gummy Candy Maker, and carefully filled the silicone candy molds. Next, we allowed the gummies to chill in the fridge. Once they were ready, we popped them out and filled tiny cauldrons with gummy worms!

The kids are already dreaming of their next flavors, and I can’t wait to spend another silly morning with them making our own crazy gummy candies!
