Christmas Party Games

The boys are home from school all week, and they have asked to play board games and card games approximately ninety-eleven billion times. We have tons of board games and only slightly less than a ton of card games. But the boys are always excited for new games. And, since they are older, I feel like I need to update some of our games. So, for this year’s holiday parties, we will have new Christmas Party Games. And, we all played our newest holiday card game, Candy Canes, this weekend.

Christmas Games

One of our family’s favorite card games is Spoons. {Learn how to play Spoons here} It’s perfect for kids and adults and is so much fun! I wanted to make it a little more Christmas-y, so I decided to swap the spoons for Candy Canes. And, then, I thought it would be SO cute to have holiday playing cards. So, I made them. And, I totally love them!

So far this Thanksgiving break, we have played Minute to Win It with our Christmas Activity Free Printable, and our Thanksgiving Word Search. As well as Candy Canes, and about a half a dozen games of Monopoly.

The holiday deck of playing cards is perfect for any card game, but they look so great with Candy Canes!

Holiday Games for Kids

When the boys were in elementary school their teachers allowed them to bring in board games for indoor recess the week before Winter break.

Wouldn’t it be fun to send the kids with a box of Candy Canes and a printable deck of cards. Then, it doesn’t even matter if one or two cards get lost. You can just print up another sheet.

After you download the cards, print them as two sided pages on a heavy weight card stock. {Or take the file to your local printer} Then cut each card to 3.5×2.5″ There are 52 cards in the deck, so you can use them to play any card game that does not require the Joker cards.
