SVG Saturday Week 46 – Sugar Skull SVG
I didn’t know much about Dia de los Muertos until I was an adult. But, the more I learned, the more I fell in love with the celebration. Dia de los Muertos is a beautiful way to celebrate the lives of those who have passed. As a mom, I have tried to teach my sons about cultural and religious differences. I want them to live with open minds and hearts and learn from differences. I asked one of my sons to help me create beautiful sugar skull illustrations. He’s a gifted artist, and we took the opportunity to talk about the significance of Sugar Skulls and Dia de los Muertos. I used my son’s illustration to create this week’s SVG Saturday Sugar Skull SVG File.
What is SVG Saturday? New SVG’s added to the shop on Saturday are on sale for just $1 for one week only. Next week, those SVG files will go up to the regular price of $1.99.
Sugar Skull SVG File
Instead of sharing several new SVG files, I decided to only share one new SVG file this week. I have created and shared a lot of awesome SVG files this month, and I will continue to create more through the holidays.
I mentioned I asked my son to help me illustrate a sugar skull. Check out the Sugar Skull Printables I made several years ago with another son’s artwork. He did an amazing job, and I was able to take his art work and convert it into a stunning SVG cut file.
You can use the cut file and create a simple black Sugar Skull and hand color it with fabric markers, or you could cut the skull using a variety of Iron On colors. Either way, it will make a beautiful shirt, bag, or sign.
You can purchase the SVG here.
