Simple Sugar Skull DIY

Simple Sugar Skull DIY

Everyday Party Magazine Simple Sugar Skull DIY

Simple Sugar Skull DIY.  Sugar Skulls are super popular this year, I have seen them all over, from cupcake toppers, to plates and napkins, to door wreaths and more!  My aunt shared how she made Dollar Tree Skulls into Sugar Skulls with paint and gemstones, and thought it would be a FABULOUS simple DIY  to share!

My Aunt made all the fun sugar skulls in the four photos below, aren’t they amazing?  So fun!

This is a project the kids can do on their own, or with minimal help, or you could have the girls over and make them…either way, they are sure to be a hit!

Supplies:

Dollar Tree Skull or other plastic skull

Paint Pens or paint and paint brushes

Optional Gem Stones and glue

I just used Elmer’s Paint Pens to draw shapes, swirls and accents on the skull.  My son took over though, so I will need to get some more skulls for all of my boys to decorate.

This was such a simple project!
