Football Party Decorations
Football Party Decorations using Cricut. All this week I am sharing bits and pieces of our College Football Kick Off Party, and how I was able to throw this party on a tight budget. Yesterday I shared how I made football cookies for our party. Today I am sharing simple and affordable decor ideas.
My guys are big Georgia Bulldog fans, so I knew I wanted to have a party for the season opener. I also knew it needed to be on a tight, tight budget.
I shopped in my house and I was thrilled I didn’t need to buy anything for this party! I used a red sheet for the table cloth, and a black one for the backdrop. I buy flat sheets on clearance or from Walmart, and keep them in a box in the garage to use for parties. I gathered red, white, and black bunting I had from our last Bulldog party, and our outdoor flag, and hung them over the backdrop.
The table was simple, and since the guys all wanted to eat in front of the TV, I put their lunches in boxes from Nashville Wraps. I poured popcorn in the bottom, and added a small Ball Canning Jar with watermelon chunks in it. Then, I wrapped their burgers in foil, added a wooden fork and a napkin, and closed up the box. I made some cute stickers to keep the box closed tight and add a little football flair to the simple brown Kraft boxes.
Next to the lunch boxes was an upcycled Dollar Tree frame with a fun subway style football print on the glass. This was SO EASY to make! I designed the file one afternoon in the car at the bus stop. And when I say designed, I mean, I picked out the pre-made file from the the Cricut Store, and added GO DAWGS underneath. Once the kids were settled in doing their homework, I cut out the vinyl and stuck it on the glass. I added a piece of red paper behind the glass and voila! Simple football decor!
On the opposite side of the table, I added homemade cupcakes with custom toppers with my hubby’s favorite player’s jersey, Coca Cola in glass bottles, and small cups of peanuts. The coke bottles and cupcakes were displayed in and on a vintage coke crate I picked up on vacation this summer. I added a small football to the coke crate too…the only one I used for the whole party.
Our kick off party was little to no cost, and was a great way to celebrate our favorite college football team!
