Tailgating Party.  My sister loves sports…all sports.  I would love to live in an HGTV world, she would love to live in an ESPN world.  Soccer, sure; baseball, heck yeah; basketball, ok; hockey, you bet; football, YEAH; you get the point….she loves to watch and play.  So, naturally, she loves to tailgate too!  

Tervis cups are my favorite cups, I love their style and warranty…they hold ice for a long time, even in the Florida heat.  I have literally loved their cups since I was a toddler.  I can very vividly remember my great grandparents’ house on the dock and Tervis cups with boating patches and fly fishing lures in the cups.  (I am sure you can guess how excited I was when they reached out to me to work with them, right?)   They are amazing for parties!  Seriously, we have them at nearly all of our parties.  Especially since they can be customized! (My hubby has one for his business, and I have one for EPM even) Their new NFL customized cups are AWESOME!  Before recently, you couldn’t add your favorite NFL team to a custom cup because of licensing regulations.  When I discovered you could finally customize NFL team cups, I decided to make custom NFL Tampa Bay Bucs cups for my sister and her friend.  Their hubbies coach the kids  school football team, so I grabbed a few pics of the boys playing flag football and uploaded them to the Tervis website, and designed the cups with my sister’s name and her friend’s name on them in just a few minutes.  I had the cups in just a little over a week.  (They were delayed because of weather, and it still only took a week!) Custom cups are so so so great at a tailgating party, no more sharpies on plastic throw away cups.  Cute cups and good for the environment.  How great would these cups be with pics from the game too? 

Tailgating parties are one of my favs, no elaborate planning, just good food, good drinks, good fun, and great friends. Everything needs to be easily transported and set up too! I recently saw a game called Fowling on TV and it looked like a blast!  Similar to corn hole, though, the playing boards are cumbersome.  So, I made a smaller version with plastic bowling pins and a foam football.  It fit perfectly in the back of the truck. I also brought a small football for throwing around.  Since we were bringing a crew with us to tailgate, I wanted the table to be more portable than a standard folding table, so I used my FORMUFIT pipes and made a table.  They fit perfectly in the storage compartment of our SUV.  I added a folded black table cloth to and white team flag over the front pipe and added the table topper on top to hold it in place.  I also made sure all of the food and decor fit in one tote.  Who wants to spend forever setting up and tearing down a tailgate party?  

The food was also easy, I made crock pot salsa con queso, and brought a bag of chips.  (We have a plug adapter in our car for standard plugs, but a WonderBag would work as well.) I pre-bagged some popcorn too.  On the way to the game, we stopped at our local grocery store and bought a sub ring, some ice, and cookies.  I brought a small cooler full of sodas and water.  Our Tervis cups were brought in the car with us, and refilled at the tailgate spot.  Metal trays were great for serving food, and keeping the condiments easily accessible.  (You can take the girl out of the party, but you can’t take the party out of the girl) Inexpensive food boats and football napkins were great to pile food into while playing games and hanging out.  

Our tailgating station took us about 20 minutes to set up, and 10 to tear down!  So simple…truly!

We had a great time tailgating, even though our team lost!  And everyone wanted the girls’ custom Tervis cups.  I know some great gifts for the holidays!
