Sock Hop Banner DIY on Sizzix

We are back over at the Sizzix blog again today! I just love this adorable sock hop banner Stef made for her school’s upcoming Sock Hop Dance using the new Sizzix line inspired by the ’50’s!!

Sock Hops always make me thing of this fun little dive restaurant I went to when I was a kid. Herbie K’s was on the beach in a Howard Johnson’s parking lot. It was a typical diner trailer, but the waitresses were dressed in poodle skirts and funky glasses…the busboys wore black Chuck Taylor Converse, and cuffed jeans with white t-shirts. When the right songs were played on the jukebox, the staff would stop what they were doing and begin hula hooping or the Hand Jive. That place was a BLAST!
