Actually, my whole family loves pizza! I am part of the Sizzix Design Team, and a few months ago I signed up to be a part of an additional project. I needed to use their Sizzix Bigz XL Die _ Box, Mini Pizza, and I was supposed to post on Valentine’s Day. So, my theme was easy, L’Amore Pizza! Unfortunately, things happened, and the Sizzix project had to be pushed off, but I still wanted to host our party! The pizza boxes were used as invitations, and I will share a DIY for them soon.
I reached out to my Instagram friends for collaborators with this party, and I can honestly say, I am so lucky to have been able to work each and every lady! I wanted the party to have a stereotypical, classic Italian feel, and each artist sent me the most perfect addition to our party!
Posh Party Girl sent over the fabulous printables, and she absolutely read my mind! They were perfect! I even used the 1 inch paper punches as scatter confetti on the table!
I used a vinyl tablecloth for the backdrop, but, I centered the backdrop with a white project board with pinwheels from The Chic Room Shop. I have already used these pinwheels for another party, and I plan on using them again for my Disney Side Party next week too! They are so wonderful! I don’t have the patience to make them myself, but I really love the look of them. I added small paper punch circles from Posh Party Girl’s printables to tie the pinwheels into the party a little more.
I had several sweets vendors offer their art for the party, and each one has an amazing talent! The small pizza slice cookies are from Cebe’s Cookies. They are AMAZING! I packaged most of them up as party favors. LauraMegs Sweets sent larger pizza slice cookies, and chocolate dipped pretzel rods. Those cookies were also delicious, and they looked so great displayed as a large pizza pie on a white cake stand! Rosebud Chocolates sent the cutest chocolate mustache lollipops. The kids loved using them as photo props too! So fun! The tiny fondant pizza cupcake toppers were from LNCreations, and they were perfect!
We served all of the sweets, but we also served pizza (of course), Caprese Salad skewers with a red and white paper straw to cover the toothpicks, pasta salad, and bread.
Each guest took home small pizza cookies packaged in clear boxes from Nashville Wraps. The boxes were tied with red baker’s twine, a tag from Posh Party Girl, and the most amazing crocheted pizza slice from Rescued Paw. She has the free plans on her blog.
We all had so much fun with our untraditional, but LOVEly Valentine’s Day celebration!
Many thanks to all of my fabulous vendors for their hard work!
