Simple Summer Flower Party Favors
Simple Summer Flower Party Favors. Earlier in the month, I shared how I used my Sizzix to create an affordable and fun Summer Flower Party Favor Bag. (Tomorrow, I will be on the Sizzix blog sharing a fun decor DIY for the Summer Flower Party). The party favors for this party were so fun and affordable!
I made lollipop flowers stuck in a single Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallow (with a cello bag tied around it) to mimic a potted plant. I also embellished a package of seeds with foam flowers I cut with my Sizzix. I added a few other small treats, and it was perfect!
Lollipop Supplies:
Dum Dum Lollipops
Craft Foam
Hot Glue and Glue Gun
Hole Punch
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 11PK – Flower Layers & Leaf
Sizzix Cutting Platform (included with Big Shot)
Sizzix Cutting Pad (also included with Big Shot)
Optional:
Marshmallows
Small Cello Bags
Ribbon
You will need the same supplies (minus the hole punch) for the Embellished Seed Packages, just substitute seeds for the Lollipop.
Cut your craft foam flowers by creating a Sizzix Sandwich, (Cutting platform, cutting pad, craft foam, Thinlits dies, cutting pad) and run it through the Big Shot.
Set your flowers aside, make a bunch. Layer them large (on the bottom) to small, alternating colors. Punch holes in the middle for the lollipop sticks. Slide flowers onto the lollipop stick and secure with hot glue. Once they are done, you can leave them as is, or you can stick the stick into a large marshmallow, wrap the marshmallow in a cello bag, and tie a ribbon around it.
Repeat the steps through layering for the seed package, then, glue the layered flower to the seed package.
Voila! Inexpensive and so simple your kids can do most of them, party favors!
