Safari Tablescape

Safari Tablescape

By One Stone Events

Elissa from One Stone Events recently hosted an incredible Safari themed birthday party for her mom.  The party was an intimate gathering of family to celebrate her mother.  Elissa used decor she already owned to style the Safari Tablescape, and I couldn’t love it any more!  The flag style bunting hanging over the dessert table reminds me of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the plastic toy jungle animals are a great way to add fun and whimsy to the table!  I love how Elissa was able to create something so special on a budget!

Elissa explained how using items she already owned, or could borrow from friends kept her table decor expenses under $25!  She made the adorable bunting with jute and fabric scraps, and used wooden boxes she had on hand for risers on the dessert table!  Instead of purchasing a cake, Elissa ordered custom chocolate covered Oreos from Love and Sugar Kisses.  Custom Oreos make a huge statement on the dessert table for about half the cost of a custom cake, plus, the guest of honor loves Maris’a Oreos!   Elissa was able to borrow the plants on the table, and used her own lanterns to balance the look.

For the dinner table, Elissa used simple, but high impact animal silhouettes.  She also covered a simple vase with burlap and added an inexpensive bouquet, framing it with two simple taper candles.  To add more visual interest, Elissa added a colorful picture to her mirror on her wall.

Elissa created this warm and inviting Safari Birthday Celebration for 9 for under $75 including the Oreos!  To see more of Elissa’s work, follow her on Facebook.
